THE CAPSULE COLLECTION J’AIME LA TERRE IS A FASHION CONCEPT OF THE PRESENT, WHICH LEARN FROM THE PAST AND IS INSPIRED BY THE FUTURE.

Castañer has written the first words of a new blank chapter called sustainability that has only just begun and that is postulated as a declaration of intentions.

Aware of the need for a change in mentality that takes into account minimizing the impact of the environment and satisfying the needs of the most conscious consumer, for the SS20 season Castañer launches “J'aime la Terre” capsule collection: a sustainable proposal that works with the artisan techniques of the past, that follows the fashion of the present and that is inspired in the future in a unique symbiosis between craftsmanship and ecological responsibility.

A sustainable collection that redesigns the classics and honors the essence of the earth

“J'aime la terre” is a fresh, summery collection that brings together the heritage of the firm's icons: The Carina, Chiara, Blaudell and Pablo styles, giving them a sustainable twist by opting entirely for recycled materials that comply with regulatory certificates.

The espadrilles and accessories of the limited-edition capsule are made entirely from natural jute, recycled cotton fabric and cords, microfiber lining certified by OEKO-TEX, cork and water- based glue.

A warm proposal that also pays tribute to the Earth through a well-studied chromatic palette that refers to natural landscapes: sand tones and the range of nudes, moss greens and tile reds.

The refined silhouettes, exquisite finishes and design details define this espadrilles collection, which maintains Castañer's sophisticated vibe and timeless design.

Traditional essence with contemporary aesthetics and now also sustainable.

Return to the origins

“J'aime la terre” is also rooted in the origins of the Spanish house founded in 1927 in Banyoles.

A committed collection that maintains the artisan spirit of Castañer through a conscious and meticulous design elaborated manually in the workshops of this town of Girona.

In the process of creation, the work of local producers has also intervened, supplying in a rigorous and exhaustive way the recycled materials necessary for the elaboration of the capsule collection, all of them respectful with the environment.

This process favors the circular economy that bets on recycling by giving a second life to the materials used (upcycling).

Long-term commitment

The “J'aime la terre” collection is the beginning of Castañer's commitment to sustainability, an attitude and a commitment that forms part of a strategic business change towards the green that has no going back.

At the same time, it tries to respond to the demand of a customer who is more aware and sensitive to the environment, who appreciates the value of sustainability without renouncing the latest fashion trends.

J'aime la terre” has begun to define the bases of the brand for a better future.
